The SR 31 PD&E study began in February 2011 and should be completed by early 2013. The project activities include information collection, development of roadway improvement alternatives and evaluation of potential social and environmental impacts in the community. The public kickoff meeting was held Tuesday, June 28, 2011 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the Lee Civic Center Clubhouse, 11831 Bayshore Road, in Fort Myers, Florida. Property owners along SR 31 and anyone that had requested to be added to the project mailing list received a notification with details of the meeting time and location.
